Dakota graduated from Tzu Chi International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in July 2025 and became a registered acupuncturist shortly after. For nearly a decade she worked as a paramedic with the BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) where she developed a deep understanding of acute care and the critical moments that shape a person’s health journey. Through this hands-on frontline experience, she was called to support people in a more preventative and sustainable way.
She approaches care through both an Eastern and Western lens, integrating her biomedical background with the holistic principles of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her own experience with acupuncture profoundly transformed her health by regulating her nervous system, sparking a passion for helping others reconnect with theirs.
Her clinical focus includes orthopedic acupuncture to support individuals navigating chronic pain, while also addressing the underlying stress patterns, muscular tension, and systemic imbalances that contribute to persistent discomfort. She recognizes that pain is often multifactorial and works to treat both the symptoms and the root causes, supporting physical recovery alongside mental and emotional well-being.
Dakota will be joining our team in May or June 2026!
