Through education, a supportive environment, and an open mind, our goal as a healthcare practice is to aid patients towards a greater awareness of what optimal health means to them.
Kristina Adams is deeply honoured to be carrying on the Vital Point Acupuncture and Holistic Health clinic started by Jennifer Larsen over 15 years ago.
Kristina graduated from Pacific Rim College in April 2017 and became a Registered Acupuncturist with the CTCMA of British Columbia shortly after. Her interest in alternative health care began at a young age when she experienced various health issues that western medicine didn't have the answers to.
She studied Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at The Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, BC, and later at Pacific Rim College in Victoria. Here she learned directly from Doctors of Chinese Medicine, studying gynaecology, dermatology, internal medicine, paediatrics, tuina massage, and advanced orthopaedic acupuncture.
After graduating from Pacific Rim, Kristina travelled to Japan where she had the amazing opportunity to train in Shiatsu massage, enjoy plenty of powder skiing, and immerse herself in Japanese culture and customs. From Japan she moved to Australia, where she mentored for one year at a fertility acupuncture clinic on the Gold Coast.
Traditional Chinese Medicine and holistic healthcare has truly grown into a passion for her. She is continually learning, growing, and finding ways to better assist people on their healing journeys. She is currently studying to become a registered herbalist and is very happy to be serving the communities of Kamloops and Sun Peaks Resort.
Yanna graduated from the esteemed Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy, 3 year diploma program, as a professional Registered Massage Therapist certified in BC in 2009. She is also a certified spin instructor (stationary bike-cardio/endurance training) and group fitness instructor.
Yanna has always had a passion for health, healing and an interest in the human body, cultivated while growing up in the beautiful Shuswap lake area. Her parents and peers taught her the importance of looking at the body as a whole with every element being connected. At the age of 12, Yanna completed her Level 1 Touch for Health course, she later went on to study massage therapy in Edmonton while working as a full time fitness consultant. While she enjoyed a couple years in Edmonton, in 2006, she came back to BC where she completed her professional studies and graduated from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy, 3000 hour program.
Natalie graduated from the Registered Massage Therapy program at Vancouver Career College in August of 2022 and is thrilled to begin sharing her passion for massage therapy with others.
Natalie has always had an adventurous lifestyle which included many sports and outdoor hobbies. This led her to pursue environmental sciences at Douglas College. Over time, she noticed that the drive to help others with a more direct and hands on approach had a stronger calling. From personally experiencing the benefits of massage therapy in her own injury rehabilitation, she decided to switch career paths and pursue the RMT program. She loves sharing what she has learned with others in order for them to live a healthier, happier lifestyle.
Natalie recently moved to Kamloops from the lower mainland and is excited to explore the area around her new home. When not in clinic, you can find her hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, and 4x4ing. She is thrilled to be a part of the Vital Point team where she hopes to grow as an RMT and help others on their journey to better health. Natalie is offering registered massage therapy in Kamloops
